What is data donation?
Data donation is a research method in which participants request a copy of their data from a social media platform and choose whether to share relevant parts of it for research. These copies are often provided by platforms as Data Download Packages (DDP).
In this study, our tool processes the downloaded file on your own device, and extracts only the information needed for the research. This is a limited selection of activity including ads you viewed, posts and comments you liked, comments you made, and posts you viewed.
Participation is voluntary
Taking part is entirely voluntary. You are free to stop at any time and do not have to continue if you change your mind.
Compensation
Participants who opt in will be entered into a prize draw: for every 100 opt-ins, one €100 Amazon gift voucher (or local equivalent) will be awarded.
